Post Title: Learning Mentor
Salary Grade: Level 5 – point 23 to point 29; FTE £22,159 – £26,842 pro rated
Depending on experience, qualifications, hours
Hours: up to 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks – no holiday or leave taken
during term time
You are required to attend 5 in-service training days per school year. Fixed
Responsible to: Deputy Head teacher of Inclusion and Lead Learning Mentor/CP Officer
Purpose of post:
To work with a range of children across Marish Academy Trust, addressing the needs of those who
need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school, in order to achieve
their full potential. Priority will be given to those who need the most help, especially those
experiencing multiple disadvantages. The range of issues include: punctuality, absence, bullying,
challenging behaviour and abuse.
To assist with the running of After and Before School Club. To maintain a safe and stimulating play
environment and to assist with developing opportunities which encourage children’s social, physical,
intellectual, creative and emotional development through play.
